1) Central Nervous System(C.N.S).

2) Peripheral Nervous System(P.N.S)

3) Autonomic Nervous System(A.N.S)

C.N.S- Brain and spinal cord

P.N.S- Cranial Nerves and spinal nerves.

A.N.S- Ganglion cells that help involuntary action.

Brain

•It is a delicate organ present in a bony box called Cranium.
•Cranium protects the brain from injury and mechanical shocks.
•Brain has three membranes: Arachnoid, Pia mater and dura mater.
•The fluid-filled b/w the membranes is Cerebrospinal Fluid.
• Brain has two hemispheres Called Cerebral hemispheres joined by Corpus Callosum

The brain has classified into three parts

1) Forebrain
2) Midbrain 
3) Hindbrain

Forebrain three parts

• Hypothalamus 
• Cerebrum
• Olfactory

Cerebrum- It is the centre of thinking, memory, intelligence, Learning, reasoning and creativity etc.
Olfactory- It has a centre of smell.

Midbrain

It is a centre of visual (seeing) and auditory (listening) receptors.

Hindbrain three parts

•Pons
•Cerebellum
•Medulla Oblongata

Pons- It is the centre of respiration.
Cerebellum- It controls thinking, walking and posture etc.
Medulla Oblongata- It Controls respiration digestion etc.

Brain stem: The mid brains and hindbrain form the brain stem.
